It was a good day out for our Wynnum Manly District Open Women, who emerged victorious against Toombul Women's Opens at Wayne Broad Oval in Brisbane Women's Competition.
First up, we made 8/190 from 35 overs. Fifty for Peyton Powell, who finished with 64 off 75 balls. Pahanmee Meegasdeniya was still there at the end on 39 off 81 balls. Yahvi Singh Bisht returned three for 24 for Toombul Women's Opens.
Our bowlers kept the visitors to 6/112 from 35 overs in reply. Meegasdeniya was the pick of the bowlers, taking two for 13 off six overs.
A superb result for the team. That's a sixth straight win. Onwards and upwards.
