Our Wynnum-Manly Womens 1st Grade side knocked over University of Queensland Womens 1st Grade with a stylish team effort.
Scores: Wynnum-Manly Womens 1st Grade 7/252, University of Queensland Womens 1st Grade 10/205. Kate Coppack made a brilliant 85 off 102 balls, a well-made fifty. Grace Collins brought up a fine half-century, finishing with 66 off 85 balls.
Credit to Katelyn Beaumont, who made a half-century (52) for the hosts. Our opponents also got 45 from Charli Knott. Clodagh Ryall was the pick of our bowlers with three for 45.
It was a brilliant all-round effort, with contributions from right through the line-up. The win was extra sweet after the hosts got the better of us earlier in the season.
Thanks to our opponents for the contest.
