Our Wynnum Manly Sat B1S had to settle for a loss as they had to give best to Jimboomba CC in Senior Competition.
Batting first, Jimboomba CC posted 192 from 38.1 overs. Credit to Clayton Shaxson, who made a half-century (65) for the hosts. Eric Williams starred with the ball, taking four for 17. There were also wickets for Christopher Gurney (two for 11).
Our chase ended at 48 from 24 overs. Zach Plowman batted well for 18 off 47 balls. Shaxson returned three for 12 for our opponents.
Not our day, but there's plenty to work with. The results haven't gone our way lately, but the side will keep at it. Well played to the hosts.
