It was a disappointing outing for our Wynnum-Manly Mens 2nd Grade, who were second best against Gold Coast Mens 2nd Grade at Bill Pippen Oval.
Batting first, we were all out for 101 in 45.3 overs. Chris Lloyd's 30 off 48 balls was the highlight with the bat. Nick Boller provided good support with 27. Angus James bowled well for Gold Coast Mens 2nd Grade, taking four for 22.
The hosts knocked off the runs, finishing on 2/102 in 20.4 overs. Credit to Tim Martin, who made 45 for our opponents. Bailey Sewell chipped in with 36 for the hosts.
Plenty to take out of this one. It's three defeats on the trot, and the side will be eager to bounce back. Thanks to our opponents for the contest.
