Good news from our Wynnum-Manly Womens 2nd Grade, who won against South Brisbane Womens 2nd Grade in Womens Competitions.
We finished on 8/180, with South Brisbane Womens 2nd Grade on 177. Our opponents' best with the bat was Tanisha Gudigar, who made 43. Abbie Curness added 31 for the visitors. With the ball, Jessica Johnston did the damage, claiming four for 37 off eight overs. Annika Bjorkman chipped in with three for 28.
A classy 64 off 81 balls from Jayani Maharaj was the highlight. Aurelia Burgess provided good support with 29.
Bowling our opponents out proved decisive.
Revenge, of sorts: the visitors had won our previous meeting this season. A terrific effort from the side.
