It just wasn't our day: our Wynnum-Manly Womens 2nd Grade were unable to get the better of University of Queensland Womens 2nd Grade on a day that didn't go our way.
Batting first, we were all out for 134 in 31.3 overs. The top score came from Lucinda Hillier, who made 32 off 25 balls. Kyrna Crump bowled well for University of Queensland Womens 2nd Grade, taking three for 25.
In reply, our opponents passed our total, finishing on 4/135 in 20.5 overs. Hayley Campbell made a stylish 76 for the hosts, a well-deserved half-century. Phoebe Dyer bowled beautifully to finish with two for 21.
We'll take the lessons from this one and go again. The side will be keen to turn things around after three straight losses.
We'll go again.
