Our Wynnum-Manly Mens 5th Grade side were unable to stop Toombul Mens 5th Grade at Trevor Barsby Oval.
We batted first and finished with 9/122 on the board from 40 overs. Dale Hansen's 33 off 63 balls was the highlight with the bat. Dimitri Horton also got among the runs with 28 off 49 balls. Harry Poteri returned four for 14 for Toombul Mens 5th Grade.
Our opponents reached the target at 10/130 in 39.5 overs. Fifty for Josh Dowsett, who made 68 for the visitors. Joshua Muller led the way with the ball, finishing with three for 14. Hansen chipped in with three for 18.
There were some classy individual efforts to build on.
Plenty to work on, and plenty to like.
