It was one to learn from for our Wynnum-Manly Mens 5th Grade, who went down to Toombul Mens 5th Grade by 31 runs.
First up, Toombul Mens 5th Grade made 9/160 from 40 overs. Chris Sharpe made 34 for the visitors. Harenderpal Singh bowled cleverly to finish with two for 22.
In reply, we finished on 129 from 36.2 overs. Toby Elms was the pick of our batters with 41 off 80 balls. Andrew Oldham was the best of our opponents' bowlers, finishing with three for 21.
There were some classy individual efforts to build on. The boys will be keen to bounce back.
