In Mens Competitions action, our Wynnum-Manly Mens 6th Grade proved too strong for South Brisbane Mens 6th Grade at Dixon Oval on Sunday.
We batted first and put 249 on the board from 40 overs. Scott Barbour brought up a quality half-century, finishing with 82 off 77 balls. Methuka Wickrama chipped in with 45. For South Brisbane Mens 6th Grade, Aiyann Kashif Muhammad took three for 57 off eight overs.
Our opponents were all out for 144 in 35.1 overs in reply. Dylan Vanniasinghe passed fifty for the visitors, finishing with 65. The wickets were shared around, with Steven Timms taking three for 13.
Our bowlers made sure our opponents didn't bat out their overs. We've now won six in a row. The win was extra sweet after the visitors got the better of us earlier in the season. Thanks to our opponents for the contest.
