It was a tough day out for our Wynnum-Manly Womens 1st Grade, who had to give best to Western Suburbs Womens 1st Grade on a day that didn't go our way.
Western Suburbs Womens 1st Grade's innings closed at 7/298 from 50 overs. Ruby Strange made a good 113 for our opponents, a century worth applauding. Amreen Kahlon grabbed three for 44. Lucinda Hillier weighed in with two for 61 off ten overs.
Our chase ended at 156 from 37.4 overs. A classy 52 off 46 balls from Abi McCray was the highlight. Credit to Ashleigh Sims, who took three for 20 for the hosts.
