There were smiles all round after our Wynnum-Manly Womens 2nd Grade held their nerve to beat Toombul Womens 2nd Grade at home on Sunday.
We kept Toombul Womens 2nd Grade to 6/85 from 20 overs. The wickets were shared around, with Jessica Johnston taking two for 10. Rachel Toovey bowled well for two for 12.
In reply, the side reached the target at 8/86 in 18.4 overs. Peyton Powell batted well for 29 off 49 balls with three fours.
It went right down to the wire, but the girls got the job done. That's back-to-back wins for the team.
Congratulations to the girls on a cracking result.
