It was a good day out for our Wynnum-Manly Womens 2nd Grade, who beat University of Queensland Womens 2nd Grade.
The side batted first and reached 7/120 from 20 overs. Jayani Maharaj's 55 off 54 balls was a half-century to remember.
Our bowlers kept University of Queensland Womens 2nd Grade to 9/97 from 20 overs in reply. Emily Clark was the main threat for our opponents, making 33. Lucy Mills led the way with the ball, finishing with four for 13. Phoebe Dyer chipped in with two for 8.
A great effort from the team.
