In Womens Competitions, our Wynnum-Manly Womens 2nd Grade came up short against Gold Coast Womens 2nd Grade on a tough day.
After batting first, we finished on 4/117 from 20 overs. Bridie Swain's 65 not out off 61 balls was a half-century to remember.
In reply, Gold Coast Womens 2nd Grade passed our total, finishing on 1/119 in 18 overs. Lauren Patterson posted 60 not out for the hosts, a good fifty.
Not our day, but there's plenty to work with.
Thanks to our opponents for the contest.
