There was no joy for our Wynnum Manly Sat C2N, who came up short against Carina Sat C2 on a day to learn from.
We batted first and put 166 on the board from 39.5 overs. Sanjay Gopinath posted a half-century, making 61 off 73 balls with nine fours. Jack Moody returned three for 27 for Carina Sat C2.
The hosts knocked off the runs, finishing on 5/167 in 27.1 overs. Chris Humphries was the main threat for our opponents, making 31.
There were some stylish individual efforts to build on.
Chins up, everyone.
