It wasn't to be for our Wynnum Manly Over 40s, who went down to Redlands Tigers 1 Over 40s on a frustrating day.
Batting first, the team were all out for 176 in 28.3 overs. Ryan Poole top-scored, making 47 off 22 balls. There were also handy runs from Scott Read (43). Credit to Mark McCabe, who took three for 50 for Redlands Tigers 1 Over 40s. James Russell finished with three for 57 for our opponents.
In reply, the hosts passed our total, finishing on 3/177 in 28.1 overs. Our opponents' best was a half-century from Steven PAGE, who made 50. Paul Bonney made 48 for the hosts. Read grabbed two for 31.
Plenty to take out of this one.
Back to the nets, and on to the next one.
