It was a day to regroup for our Wynnum-Manly Mens 1st Grade, who were downed by Redlands Mens 1st Grade on a frustrating day.
Redlands Mens 1st Grade made 8/282, and we made 10/269. Hashan Wanasekara brought up a polished half-century, finishing with 84 off 151 balls. Solid support came from Harmon Sandhu, who made 25. Jack Sinfield did the damage for the hosts with three for 58.
Harley Malpass was the pick of our bowlers with three for 32. Fifty for Leigh Drennan, who made 81 not out for our opponents. Reuben Burger passed fifty for the hosts, finishing with 63.
Not our day, but there's plenty to work with.
A tough stretch, and one the team will be determined to end. Well played to our opponents.
