It was an excellent day for our Wynnum-Manly (1) Mens 6th Grade, who got up against University of Queensland Mens 6th Grade in a pleasing performance.
With the bat, we made 10/150; University of Queensland Mens 6th Grade made 10/108 and 6/74. Joshua Midanowicz led the way with 43 off 63 balls with six fours. Roy Heath also got among the runs with 21 off 22 balls. Samuel Tredrea claimed three for 25 for our opponents.
Roy Heath grabbed three for 11. George Heath finished with three for 19. For the visitors, Lachlan Webster was unbeaten on 28.
It was a great all-round effort, with contributions from right through the line-up. Getting that first win of the season on the board is a brilliant moment for the boys. Thanks to our opponents for the contest.
